HAHNVILLE — St. Charles Parish officials mailed out the “Know Your Risks: An All-Hazards Guide for St. Charles Parish Residents” brochure to all households in late December.
The 12-page brochure serves as a resident’s guide to preparing for possible emergencies, including weather emergencies, industrial and chemical emergencies, health emergencies and terrorism.
It also provides information on protective actions, where to find parish notifications and recommended safety tips.
“Having a quick reference brochure at your disposal is an invaluable resource to have on hand when you need it,” St. Charles Parish Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Director Joe Ganote said. “It is our hope that our residents familiarize themselves with the contents of this brochure.”
“Know Your Risks” was produced by the St. Charles Parish Public Information Office and was mailed as part of “Industry Aware,” a project of the St. Charles Parish Local Emergency Planning Committee that highlights industry and the products they produce locally.
Copies of the brochure are available in the lobby of the courthouse in Hahnville.
