Garyville-Mt. Airy Math and Science Magnet School STEM Club members Carlo Travis, Asia Scioneaux, Gabe Lanoix, Logan Bukaske, Marlisa Nelson, Jaida Manson and Evelyn Anderson recently competed in their first competition.

The FIRST LEGO League tournament was held at Ben Franklin High School in New Orleans.

Teams showed off what they learned and invented while competing with robots.

Garyville-Mt. Airy officials said the students had an amazing experience, celebrated their hard work, made new friends and were exposed to ideas that will enhance their lives moving forward.
