LAPLACE — Marissa Templet, a 2012 graduate of St. Charles Catholic High School, is a senior in Chemical Engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

She recently returned to her high school alma mater to discuss the engineering profession. Templet and fellow engineering students Katie Barder and Richard Hessler completed the outreach.

They shared a PowerPoint and chemical reaction demonstrations to bring attention to the engineering field, mostly chemical engineering. The high schoolers received a close-up look at what ULL has to offer in the fields of engineering and technology. The visiting students also explained the internship and job opportunities available.
