Latanya Williams-Jenkins was named Teacher of the Year for Allemands Elementary School. The second grade teacher is in her sixth year at Allemands and has been teaching for 10 years. School leaders said she is a phenomenal teacher committed to meeting the academic, social and emotional needs of every student, every day.
