LAPLACE — Choice International Family Outreach Center, The Right Choice Project, and Route 46 Youth Group partnered Sunday to deliver free turkey dinners to 21 less-fortunate families in LaPlace.

The Turkey Dinner boxes included 15-lb. turkeys, stuffing, canned vegetables, desert, mashed potatoes and more.

The dinners were distributed throughout the Shady Oaks Trailer Park Community.

Organizers said a host of donors helped make this event a success, including Gregg’s Supermarket in Reserve, Don’s Country Market in Reserve, Walmart (LaPlace and Boutte), Winn Dixie (LaPlace and Boutte), Matherine’s, Food 4 Less and residents of St. John the Baptist Parish.
