Mary Neal Burchfield Bynum, 74, a resident of LaPlace and a native of Williamsville, Miss, passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2015.

Services took place at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home Thursday, Aug. 27.

Mrs. Bynum was born Dec. 15, 1940. She worked for many years at DuPont.

In her spare time she enjoyed reading, gardening and visiting with her family and neighbors.

She is survived by her husband Wesley “Buddy” Bynum; sons Neal Bynum (Judith) and Tracy Bynum; daughter Cristina Bynum Berthelot (Tommy); sister Barbara Westerfield; grandsons Jonathan Bynum and Thomas Berthelot; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Corinne Gregory, and her sister, Ann Burchfield Tillson.
