Bishop Fernand Cheri recently celebrated Mass with the student body and parish members of St. Joan of Arc.
To begin his homily, Cheri sang “This Little Light of Mine” with the congregation.
He went on to explain that it is everyone’s responsibility to spread the light of Christ to others, no matter what age they are.
His message to the children in particular was they are preparing to be leaders of their community, and being a light to others will help them achieve that goal.
His lively personality immediately made him a hit with the students. After Mass, Cheri paused for a moment to take a picture with some fifth grade students as they were exiting the church.
