Man shot in ankle today in LaPlace

LAPLACE — A man shot in LaPlace this afternoon has been “uncooperative” as investigators search for clues, authorities said.
St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre said deputies responded to the 200 block of West 2nd Street in LaPlace at 12:14 p.m. today following a report of a man being shot.
“When deputies arrived, they located the 25-year-old male victim who sustained a gunshot wound in his left ankle,” Tregre said in a release. “Emergency medical technicians treated the victim and transported him for additional medical treatment. No one else was injured.”
Tregre said investigators attempted to gather information about the shooting from the victim, but “he was uncooperative with investigators.”
