LAPLACE — Four juveniles have been arrested after St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre said they robbed a 36-year-old man following a verbal exchange at a local store.

Tregre said deputies responded to the 400 block of Coles Landing Feb. 19 after the man reported a robbery, in which the victim told deputies he was at a store near his neighborhood and argued with four male juveniles about how they were wearing their pants sagging below their waists.

“They followed him to his residence, where the juveniles started punching him,” Tregre said. “The assailants stole the victim’s cell phone and fled the area. The victim sustained minor injuries.”

According to Sheriff’s Office arrest reports, a 15 year old and 16 year old were arrested Thursday in connection with the crime, as was a 15 year old on Monday and a 14 year old on Tuesday.

Each of the four juveniles was arrested on one count of simple robbery.
