LAPLACE —Supreme Ford in LaPlace hosted the American Legion Post 383 and its Auxiliary’s fundraiser barbecue Jan. 31.

The community supported this effort through purchases of a wide selection of barbecue items.

This was the third time Supreme Ford hosted an event with the Legion, and profits generated in this effort have resulted in the ability for the Post to send more than two students to this year’s premier youth program, Boy’s and Girl’s State.

Another fundraiser is planned for late March with additional events organized by the dealership. Dave Gatt, commander, and Danny Finckbeiner, service manager, were very pleased with the support from the community.
