KENNER — The St. Charles Women’s Club’s next big fundraiser will be the annual SCWC TeaCup Auction March 14 at Chateau Country Club in Kenner.

Tickets go on sale at the February General Membership Meeting at $40 a ticket, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The club’s disbursement committee is taking requests from non-profit organizations with a specific need for funds.

Organizations must be in and serve residents of St. Charles Parish. Anyone needing more information about tickets or the process of writing a request should “like” the St. Charles Women’s Club Facebook page and send a private message for more information.

The Women’s Club recently held its’ annual Autumn Auction, which raised $5,000. Organizers said auctioneer Anthony Lucia of Roussel’s Antiques and Gifts was vital in the process.

SCWC, a non-profit civic and social organization, raises money through the group’s active months of September through May.

All funds raised go directly back into St. Charles Parish non-profit organizations and community efforts.

SCWC is entering its 50th year and has 177 current members.
