LAPLACE — Wireless Zone of LaPlace, an exclusive carrier of Verizon Wireless products and services, is partnering with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign by placing a collection bin in the store during this holiday season.
Toys will be collected through Dec. 20.
The Toys for Tots campaign delivers new toys during Christmas to less fortunate children in every community it serves. Toys can be dropped off at Wireless Zone, 901 W. Airline Highway, Suite F.
“The Toys for Tots campaign does such amazing work each holiday season, and we’re proud to partner with such an impactful organization so we can do even more to help those in need in the communities we serve,” said Joe Johnson, president and COO of Wireless Zone.
“We encourage all of our customers to bring a donation with them the next time they visit their local Wireless Zone.”
In 2013, Toys for Tots collected 469 million toys nationally, and this year organizers hope to add to that amount with record support.
This season, Toys for Tots encourages people to also think about the teens and young adults the program serves, and suggest donations such as books, backpacks, cosmetics, purses, bath gift sets, board games and electronics.
