LAPLACE — Incumbent Tom Daley, Bridget Dinvaut and Geri Broussard Baloney — the three candidates in the St. John the Baptist Parish District Attorney’s race — will participate in a political forum at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Belle Terre Country Club, located at 111 Fairway Drive in LaPlace.

WDSU news anchor Gina Swanson will moderate the event, which is being organized by the Belle Terre Civic Association.

“We encourage everyone to take a little time out of their busy schedule to learn and see first-hand the promise these candidates will be making representing their constituents,” BTCA President Raj Pannu said. “The residents have the right to hold the elected official(s) accountable for the success or failure of the needs of the community and parish.”

Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the forum starting promptly at 6:30 p.m.

“The BTCA encourages all residents to vote intelligently as these are the candidates who will be representing them as and when the need arises,” Pannu said.

“The political forum is their platform to dissect the qualifications and potential of each candidate to represent the masses.”
