Bossier-Holden wants Justice vote

EDGARD — “Ready, Willing, and Able,” this is the motto for candidate for Justice of the Peace for District 1 of St. John Parish Charo Bossier-Holden.
She claims not to be a typical politician, but a dedicated, passionate citizen of the community that possesses the qualities needed to uphold the office.
Bossier-Holden is a lifelong resident of Edgard for 37 years. She graduated valedictorian from West St. John High School in 1994 and later obtained a bachelor of science degree in nursing from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 1999.
She worked part-time for the St. John Parish District Attorney’s Office, where she took an interest in law and government.
Currently, she is employed by Ochsner Hospital as a registered nurse on a post-anesthesia care unit.
Bossier-Holden was instrumental in recruitment and retention of employees to the Ochsner Health System, where she spearheaded the annual festivities to attract new graduates. She served as relief charge nurse, supervisor for a 49-bed unit and as care coordinator, which involved working with team members to organize and coordinate care and services.
She volunteered to be a super user during the implementation of the electronic medical record.
She has received several service awards, Perfect attendance for 10 years, Spirit of Caring Awards and Spirit on the Spot. Those awards recognize those that go above and beyond the call of duty. She also serves as a basic life support instructor for American Heart Association.
Bossier-Holden said it is through work and life experiences that she has become a great leader, advocate and a person of compassion. She vows to be reliable, responsive and sensitive to all.
Bossier-Holden is the daughter of Dolores Bossier and the late Alfred P. Bossier. She is married to Gala T. Holden. They have two children, Gala T. Holden II, 3, and Gaige A. Holden, 3 months.
She is a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and a Democrat.
