LAPLACE — LaPlace resident Troy M. Davis Jr., 33, has plead guilty to sexual battery and will serve two years with the Department of Corrections, St. John the Baptist Parish District Attorney Tom Daley announced.
Upon his release, Davis must register as a sex offender for the next 25 years.
The guilty plea stems from an August 2013 forcible rape charge after a 17-year-old female alleged Davis raped her.
According to the Sheriff Office’s report, the victim fled from a Cambridge Subdivision residence out of a window soon after the attack and was treated and examined at River Parishes Hospital and Children’s Hospital.
Davis’ criminal history includes forcible rape, sexual battery, molestation of a juvenile and various drug charges.
