Rcently, a career fair was held in the St. James Parish School Board’s Public Relations Building. Sixth-grade students from the Science and Math Academy, Fifth Ward, Sixth Ward, Paulina and Vacherie Elementary were afforded an opportunity to speak with someone whose career choice interested them and to explore areas they may not have considered.

Presenters informed students of the qualifications needed in their field of work as well as their duties on the job. Students also toured the Career and Technology Center. Students were amazed at the experiences and knowledge offered through the center. This special event was organized by  Nolan Albert, Melissa Aubert and  Sheila Jackson.
