The face is the most public part of your body

I’ll never forget walking into a convenience store early one morning many years ago, and the only person in the place was the cashier who looked like she was sucking a lemon.
“Why is everybody so happy in here?” I loudly asked. She looked at me and I’m sure was thinking I was a little unbalanced and replied, “There’s nobody in here!” “Oh, I didn’t notice,” I said.
Her facial expression changed, and I detected what was almost a smile. I told her I didn’t realize she was pretty until she smiled. She then accepted my remark with a genuine smile and said, “Thanks!”
The reason that incident keeps coming back to me is because the face is the most public part of our body, covering less than any other area. It is also the most recognizable part of our body. Most of the time, it reflects our disposition and spirit.
When we have joy, it will witness to people. When we are sad or angry, it will send a negative message. I’m sure you’ve heard people who identify themselves as Christians say that Jesus is in their heart.
I remember a message I heard about this, and the conclusion was that if Jesus is in your heart, you should notify your face.
When people talk about body language, how you walk, talk, etc., keep in mind that it’s the uncovered part of our body — the face — that sends a message that everybody can read.
The Bible says that the joy of the Lord is our strength. Without joy, your witness is weak.
We should always remember before we leave the house to wear a smile because it’s a universal language understood by all.
