David Hargrave Jr. of the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church of LaPlace won first place in the District Competition at the Central Union Missionary Baptist Association Youth Explosion.
Hargrave then won first place at the State Rally Competition in Jonesville, La., and then he won first place at the Southwest Region Youth Conference in Mobile, Ala., for the National Competition. Hargrave also won the National Competition in 2012.
Hargrave is the son of David Sr. and Paulette Hargrave of LaPlace. Aquiana Roussell Brown is the Youth Director of the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, and Ruth Wilson is the Assistant Youth Director.
