GRAMERCY – A ribbon cutting and open house were held for Danielle’s Dance Academy LLC on Sunday, June 2, at the dance academy located at 112 N. Airline Highway in Gramercy.
Danielle Taylor, owner and director of the dance academy, said the academy will offer tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, technique, step and hip-hop dance classes to 3 to 18 year olds. Doors will open for a summer camp in July, and on Sept. 3 for the 2013-2014 dance year.
Supporting Taylor at the ribbon cutting ceremony were: Timmy Roussel, St. James Parish president; Terry Borne, mayor of the town of Gramercy; Rubenstein Clark, alderwoman for the town of Gramercy; Donald Batiste, alderman for the town of Lutcher; Pastor Nolan Albert of Evergreen Baptist Church; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Albert; and a host of family members and friends.
“I am most grateful to have had so much support for the ribbon cutting ceremony,” said Taylor. “Open House was a success, and I am simply overwhelmed with joy with the support of the community. I look forward to sharing my passion for dance with others and hope to make a positive impact in the lives of young children.”
