LAPLACE – The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for information pertaining to the Wednesday morning shooting of Johnathan Toussain.
Deputies responded to a residence in the 1500 block of Ellerslie Avenue in LaPlace for the report of a man who was shot. The victim, 33-year-old Johnathan Toussain, had succumbed to injuries sustained from gunshots and was pronounced dead on the scene. No one else was injured.

Anyone submitting an anonymous tip to Crimestoppers may qualify for a cash reward. Those with information do not have to testify in court and will be issued a tip number to be identified for the potential award.
This incident is the 11th homicide in St. John the Baptist Parish this year.
