Garyville man charged with failure to appear

LAPLACE – A Garyville man was recently apprehended by the U.S. Marshalls Task Force after failing to appear in court.
Ronald Weber, 28, of Garyville, has been arrested 26 times since July 2002 in St. John the Baptist Parish. His charges include, but are not limited to, aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of schedule I CDS, resisting an officer by flight, carnal knowledge of a juvenile, criminal trespassing, disturbing the peace, simple burglary of an immovable and carrying a concealed firearm.
On May 20, Weber pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He failed to appear in court the following day for sentencing, and a bench warrant was issued for Weber on May 21.
On June 25, Weber was apprehended by the U.S. Marshalls Task Force on Whitlow Court in LaPlace. Weber appeared in court and was sentenced to seven years on his plea to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
