Fifth-graders at St. Charles Borromeo School in Destrehan recently completed the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program.  Winners of the essay contest were  (front, left to right) Jenna Tortorich and Riley LeBlanc. With them are (back, left to right) Sheriff Greg Champagne, Deputy Dwayne Chiasson, Principal, Mary Schmidt and Sergeant Roy Gautreaux K9 unit with Freckles.
