The Msg. Eyraud Knights of Columbus Council 2436 from Reserve and Garyville recently held their drug abuse and alcohol abuse poster contest. Eighty-five St. Peters School students turned in posters they created. The posters are all hanging on the walls of the KC hall in Reserve. The Knights judged the posters and picked out the winners in two age groups, 8 to 11 years old and 12 to 14 years old. First, second and third place was chosen in both age groups. The first place winners were given $25 gift cards, second place, $15 cards and third place, $10 gift cards. The first place posters will be sent to the state contest. Winners in the 8 to l1 age group were, first place – Justin Tuircuit, second place – Jenna Toups, third place – Rio Frazier. Winners in the 12 to 14 age group were, first place – Callie Henry, second place – Mason Mares and third place – Brendan Lang.
