Carmen Vicknair Wilson, 87, was born on Sept. 5, 1925. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013. She was the beloved wife by first marriage of the late James Wilson and by second marriage of Mark A. Klibert. Wilson was the daughter of the late John and Lezina Keller Vicknair. She was the sister of Lois Saucier, the late John Jr., Marius Vicknair, Carol DeBautte, Lizna Guidry, Rose Madere and Alice Shultz. Shewas a native of Reserve and a resident of Garyville.

She had many hobbies. Wilson worked in retail for many years and was a wonderful homemaker and seamstress. Wilson was the beloved mother of Kathy W. Robichaux (Lynn), Barry Wilson (the late Georgette), Keller “Skipper” Wilson (Tal), Ranney Wilson (Karen) and the late Tanis Wilson. She was the grandmother of Dawn, Denice, Lynn Jr., Jamie, Jimmy, Steven, Diana, Cassie, Jessica, Ranney Jr., Melissa, Dane, Blake and the late April, Margaret Ann, Christopher and Kristin. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She leaves behind her faithful Bird Gorgeous.

Visitation will take placeat Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Monday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be followed by Mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in LaPlace at noon. Burial will take place in in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve.
