Harry Hurst Middle School announced Gabrielle Pollock is 2012-13 Teacher of the Year. Pollock is a second-year seventh-grade writing teacher who graduated in May 2011 from Louisiana State University with a degree in English and a concentration in secondary education.
Four years prior, she graduated from Destrehan High School in the top five percent of her class. She is fortunate to have been educated by St. Charles Parish Public Schools her entire life and finds it exciting to educate some of her former teachers’ children. She also enjoys working for her seventh grade science teacher from Albert Cammon Middle School, Harry Hurst Principal Steven Guitterrez.
Pollock is honored to represent Hurst as the Teacher of the Year and looks forward to continuing to work at the core business of teaching and learning by focusing on continuous improvement.
