LAPLACE – St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the Race Track at 200 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace for a reported armed robbery on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 7:55 p.m.
The cashier told deputies that a male subject dressed in all black and carrying a handgun walked behind the counter and demanded all the money from the register. The cashier complied with the perpetrator’s demand and surrendered an undisclosed amount of cash. The perpetrator then fled from the store.
