With God there are no coincidences

I’m a firm believer that after a person becomes a Christian, everything that happens is not a coincidence but the perfect plan of God for their life.
Sunday morning, Jeanne needed a few things from Don’s Country Store in Reserve. Having it all together like I sometimes think I do, I didn’t make a list. Can you believe I forgot the mild sausage? Having to double back and being frustrated with myself, I went back about an hour later.
While down one of the aisles of the store, a young man asked, “Aren’t you Mr. Keller?” Before I could say anything, he asked if I remembered him. “Refresh my memory,” I said. “Jonathon McCall!” he answered, with a pleasant smile. There was a little boy hanging on his grocery basket.
He shared that he and his family had lived in Tennessee for the past five years. “Is that your son?” I asked. “Yes, that’s Trevin!” he replied. “How many children do you have?” was my next question. “We have eight – four boys and four girls,”
he proudly said, with a spirit that only a Christian could have. He told me that his wife, Micah, was the daughter of Curtis and Jeanne Vicknair.
In the course of our conversation, I asked where he was employed. “I came back to St. John and started my own business,” he answered. He gave me a business card that read: E. T. Communication Solutions. I told him that with his enthusiasm and positive attitude, he would be a small business success story.
I asked if I could pray with him and as Trevin looked on, I thanked God for putting us together that morning. We prayed together for
the protection and health of his family and thanked God that his business would prosper as his soul prospered.
As I drove back to LaPlace, I thought that in today’s society, it’s not hard to distinguish the Christian from the non-Christian. When meeting Jonathon, it was easy to discern. The glow on his face told me that Jesus was in his heart.
