Stephanie Knight’s class of 2011-12 at Allemands Elementary continues a learning tradition. The very large “crabitat” designed and built by last year’s class currently houses six hermit crabs rescued from the pet store but can accommodate more if needed. All class members take turns in sharing the responsibilities of maintaining the tank environment while researching, observing and collecting data about land hermit crabs.
