Adele Martinez Maillet, 80, entered into heaven Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, with her loving family at her side.

She was the beloved wife of the late Huron J. Maillet for 49 years, loving mother of Gregory J. Maillet, Malinda M. Chartier (Peter) and Timothy E. Maillet, proud grandmother of Rene H. Maillet, daughter of the late Vera Gilkers Martinez and John R. Martinez and sister of Gloria M. Meo and the late brother-in-law Peter Meo. Adele is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was a native of New Orleans, a long-time resident of LaPlace and also a resident of Baton Rouge.

She graduated high school from St. Joseph’s on Tulane. She was part owner of Fabrique Boutique in LaPlace and co-founder of Maillet Inc. in Morgan City.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until funeral time. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans. Memorial donations are requested in her memory to the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, 4950 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70806.
