The intersection of Paul Maillard Road and River Road in Luling was once the thriving gateway to more southerly parts of St. Charles Parish, but the construction of Interstate 310 on the west bank of the parish caused the road to become neglected. Parish officials are seeking ways to revitalize the corridor. (Staff photo by Robin Shannon)
