WALLACE – On Oct. 8, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, supporters gathered for a 1-mile walk in Wallace Park. Breast cancer survivors and family members who lost loved ones shared their stories of their battle with the disease.

Jennifer Hayden of Louisiana Breast Cancer and Cervical Health Program was the guest speaker. The message was “Show You Care, Be Aware.” The importance of getting yearly mammograms was highly stressed. The group enjoyed games, refreshments and many giveaways.
