The true meaning of Christmas

As Jeanne and I look over the past year, our hearts overflow with thanksgiving to God. He has supplied our needs, guided our paths and filled our family with His love, joy and peace. In addition, part of His overwhelmingly gracious plan for our lives was to include family members who are friends and friends we consider family.

God’s ministry of Get High on Life has been blessed this past year as doors have been opened for us to share the Good News of the Gospel.

I pray for families who have lost loved ones, realizing that this time of the year is one of the loneliest for them.

This season is also one of the most miserable for the suffering alcoholic and drug addict in their search for happiness. Maybe one day soon they will understand that happiness is a by-product of living the right kind of life and making the right choices.

May this Christmas bring us much joy as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. While on earth, He became a servant to all mankind. He was born to die for us, and if we accept Him as the Lord of our lives, we will enjoy eternal happiness in Heaven.

This Christmas, let’s exhibit His love to others by reaching out to the hurting and lonely people in our community.

Merry Christmas!
