Same food, new look

You should have received a copy of L’Observateur’s annual Holiday Cookbook in last Saturday’s newspaper.

Did you notice anything wrong?

We did!

We love food in south Louisiana and have been known to eat our dessert first on occasion, but we don’t consider popcorn balls a side dish, crawfish casserole a dessert or fried okra a salad.

The cookbook’s recipes are there, and so are all the advertisements, but when the printer put the pages together they were stapled out of order.

So the cookbook is being reprinted for us, and we’ll re-insert it into an upcoming edition of L’Observateur. We’re hoping to get it to you by Dec. 11, so keep a lookout for this keepsake edition.
