LAFAYETTE — Lutcher’s developed a knack for come-from-behind wins this season. But while the Bulldogs made their push to take a lead after falling behind 24-6, it just didn’t have enough tricks left in the bag to finish the rally, being eliminated by Teurlings Catholic 32-25 at Carencro High School.

D’Shaie Landor’s 40-yard touchdown pass to Dylan Bossier in the fourth quarter proved the game-winner for Teurlings (7-3-1), which advances to face Neville in the quarterfinals.

Teurlings led 24-6 at halftime but Lutcher (10-2) scored the next three touchdowns of the game, all in the third quarter, to take a 25-24 lead. First came Daniel Taylor’s 63 yard run, then Jared Poche’s 10-yard scramble (the two-point attempt was no good on both scores). Trevor Englade scored on a 10-yard pass from Poche and an Austin Brack extra point made it 25-24.
