LAPLACE – St. John the Baptist Parish authorities arrested a Garyville man wanted for more than a month in connection with an attempted murder case after he showed up in court on an unrelated charge.

Craig Lee, 21, of 224 Fig St., Garyville, had been wanted for his involvement in a June 14 shooting incident on Bluebell Street in Garyville, said Capt. Dane Clement, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office. Lee was taken into custody just after 2 p.m. Monday.

According to a Sheriff’s Office report, Lee and a 15-year-old boy are accused of firing shots at a 22-year-old man during an argument.

Clement said the juvenile was arrested on June 21, and a warrant was issued for Lee’s arrest after authorities determined Lee’s role.

He said Lee is being held at the Sherman Walker Correctional Facility in LaPlace on a $350,000 bond.
