Have you ever thought about this?

Have you ever stopped to think about things that we do or say? Many of us live in homes worth thousands of dollars and drive vehicles valued over $20,000, yet we park our cars outside of our beautiful homes and fill up and lock up our priceless junk in our garage.

Have you ever thought about the design of a drugstore when you go to shop or pick up your medication? The sick people have to walk to the back of the store to pick up a prescription while the healthy people can stop in the front to buy cigarettes and alcohol.

Have you ever realized that you can get a pizza delivered faster to your home than you can get an ambulance in an emergency? What about what you’re eating? You drive through the fast food chain and order a double cheeseburger with fries and don’t forget the diet coke. Cook hotdogs this summer? You purchase hotdogs in packages of 10 and buns in packages of eight. Only in America!

It seems lately all we have heard over the past few months is about the oil spill in the gulf. Yes, this is bad and has been very costly to a lot of the people of Louisiana. They have held meetings in Washington, D.C., and brought British Petroleum executives before Congress all in an effort to find out what caused the oil spill. It seems to me that these important meetings should have been put on hold. All efforts, manpower and intellect should have been placed on getting the oil stopped before we concentrated on what caused the leak. The workers that lost their lives on that tragic day died with very little remembrance of even their names. Is something backwards In America? You be the judge.
