LAPLACE – If L’Observateur’s latest poll is any indication, local residents have a variety of ways to enjoy the warm weather.

Last week on it’s Web site, L’Observateur posed the question, “Spring has finally sprung in the River Parishes. What warm weather activity are you most looking forward to?”

Outdoor sports and gardening, each garnering nearly one-fifth of the votes, topped the list of looked-forward-to activities.

Boating activities, walking/running and swimming came in just behind those.

A little farther back but still with a respectable 8 percent of the vote was biking.

A full breakdown of the results follows:

• 19 percent of respondents chose “outdoor sports.”

• 17 percent of respondents chose “boating activities.”

• 19 percent of respondents chose “gardening.”

• 15 percent of respondents chose “walking/ running.”

• 8 percent of respondents chose “biking.”

• 15 percent of respondents chose “swimming.”

• 8 percent of respondents chose “other.”
