RESERVE – The St. John the Baptist Parish School Board will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. in its regular meeting spot at the Godchaux Grammar cafeteria at River Road and West 10th Street.
The meeting had to be moved from Thursday, March 4, because of a scheduling conflict. Board members will be attending a State School Board Association meeting Thursday.
The main business of the day will involve the hiring of a new principal for West St. John Elementary School. A candidate has been chosen and will assume the position pending approval by the school board.
Other business on the agenda involves the possible acceptance of bids for renovations to Garyville/Mt. Airy Math and Science Magnet School.
Also, the school calendar for the 2010-11 school year is expected to be introduced for board member review.
