LAPLACE – River Parishes Hospital employees, physicians and volunteers recently donated Christmas gifts to needy families through the St. John Ministry of Care. This year, the hospital teamed up with the Rotary Club of LaPlace in their Santa for St. John Program. Employees were asked to purchase a gift of their choice for any age child, wrap the gift and label it accordingly. The gifts were then brought to the St. John Rotary Club to be distributed to children.
“Our employees look forward to helping those in need during the holiday season,” said Tammy Waltz, community relations coordinator. “We’ve always been a supporter of the LaPlace Rotary Club and commend them for their efforts to assist our community. We were excited to be able to team up with them in this endeavor.”
