LUTCHER — The first annual Praise Brunch was held recently at Lutcher High School. The event was co-hosted by Lois Moore, President of the Redeem and Restore Ministries and Bertha Williams, Director of the St. James Community Fresh Start Program Inc. The theme of the event was “We are Saved to Serve.” The guest speakers were Sally-Ann Roberts of WWL and Judge Madeline Jasmine.

Roberts spoke of the difference that can be made in the lives of others by mentoring and believing that they can succeed. Judge Jasmine spoke of the difficulties faced by those individuals that served time in jail and the prejudices they encounter.
