EVERETT LOQUE

Everett Louque was born Nov. 2, 1927, in Gramercy and was called to his eternal rest on March 17, 2009, at the age of 81. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, the former Barbara Tregre. His sons are Chris Louque and his wife, Valerie, and their children, Scott, Shane and Steve, and Eric Louque and his wife, Shawndel, and their children, Bailey and Ethan. He also leaves his daughter, Elizabeth Martin, and her husband, Daniel, and her son, Preston Welch. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Mia Welch and Olivia and Brock Louque. His surviving siblings are Rita Leblanc, Jacquelyn Myrick, Barbara Scharwath, Lois Duhe, Kenneth Louque and Gary Louque.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elise and Daniel Louque, one grandechild, Alex Everett Louque, and two brothers, Daniel and Ronald Louque.
He was retired from Colonial Sugars Co. and was a resident of Lutcher. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps in World War II and was a member of the VFW.
The family would like to express gratitude to the Poche Medical Clinic and the Staff of St. James Parish Hospital and Lady of the Lake Hospital with special thanks to Dr. Carl Luikart for their kind and compassionate care.
