KLIEBERT

Ray Joseph Kliebert Sr. died on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at his residence in Hester at 10:20 a.m. Age 64, he was a native of Lutcher and was retired as an Engineering Aid for 30 years with IMC Agrico in Convent and seven years as a Field Engineer with St. James Parish. He worked for St. James Parish until last Friday.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Sharon Roussel Kliebert, one son, Ray Kliebert Jr., and one daughter, Hollie Kliebert and her fiancée, Tray Haydel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amedee Kliebert and Edith Lasserre Kliebert.

Ray was a historian and died with a broad knowledge of both local and American History. He was a “jack of all trades” and extremely creative and talented. He loved hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was extremely fond of the family pet, Cami.

Visitation and services were held on Tuesday, March 17, at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Convent. Burial followed in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Paulina. Friends and family may send their condolences and thoughts to www.mem.com.
