Stay focused and forward on the way to Heaven

A few years ago, I heard a preacher say that the churches in America will send more people to Hell than all the barrooms put together. It really got my attention and I listened to the whole message. The bottom line was that because of the many in authority that compromise, or pervert, the Word of God, many will be led astray as sheep to the slaughter.

If you don’t believe there is a Heaven or Hell and that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, I suggest that you quit reading this article. If, however, you believe, I suggest you pay attention to what’s going on in America.

Recently, a church in the New Orleans area, which caters to gay men and women, suggested that they can remain gay and sexually active and still practice their Christian faith. This is contrary to the Word of God. This perversion of the Gospel is the same mentality that says drunkenness, child molestation, etc., is a disease. The Bible says all this is sin – plain and simple – and separates us from the love of God and will keep us from enjoying eternal happiness with Him. If it sounds like I’m bashing gays, drunks, and other sinners, I’m not.

The same Bible that calls a sin a sin, also says that if you claim to be a Christian and attend church regularly, you could still miss Heaven.

In Revelations, God says, “I prefer you to be cold or hot. If you are lukewarm, I will spew you out of my mouth.” The churches in America are lukewarm and I have to admit that at times, I am, too.

Isn’t it amazing that America, which has a church on every corner, has the highest drug rate, crime rate and number of teenage pregnancies, abortions, and divorces?

All of this has happened in America because preachers no longer preach against sin. It’s been said that sin will take you further than you want to go, keep you longer that you want to stay and cost you more than you want to pay.

There must be a revival in America if we are to survive.
