Rita Mae Guidry Ory of Convent died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at the age of 87 years. A native of Lutcher, she was born April 7, 1921, and was the wife of the late John Ory Sr. for 52 years. She was the daughter of the late Louis Guidry and Georgine Pollet Guidry. She is survived by three children and their spouses Carol O. and J.B. Kliebert, John Jr. and Marie Boudreaux Ory and Patricia O. and Raymond Ledet Jr. She is also survived by grandchildren Claudia K. and husband Christopher Frederic, Caryn K. and husband Dr. John Allen, John Kliebert and wife Shelby Verbois Kliebert, Jennifer O. and husband Kyle Bush, Trish O. and husband Cory Forsyth, Michelle O. and husband Jeffrey Lambert, Deanna L. and husband Louis Saab II and Michael and William Ledet, great-grandchildren Matthew and Melanie Frederic, Mason, Emily and Reed Allen, Kate and John Austin Kliebert, Dayton Bush, Breleigh, Ory and Ty Forsyth and Mallorie and Nathan Lambert.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Agnes Guidry, Reynolds Guidry, Gladys G. Arceneaux, Lewis Guidry, Alden Guidry and Evelyn G. Millet.

Visitation and services were held Friday, Jan. 30, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Convent. Entombment followed in the Church Mausoleum.
