Amelia “Meme” Grows Narcisse on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at 3:44 p.m. at East Jefferson General Hospital was called home to rest. Daughter of the late Cora Lewis Grows and Louis Grows Jr. Beloved mother of Francis Narcisse Lockett, Diane, Curtis, Clifford Sr., Calvin, Debra, JoAnn Narcisse Reed, Mary Ann, Charlene Narcisse Tumblin and Joseph Narcisse. Also survived by six sisters, one brother, 32 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four godchildren.

Preceded in death by five brothers, one grandson and one great-grandson. A native of Edgard and a resident of St. Rose. Age 72 years.

Visitation and services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 6,at the 5th African B.C. in St. Rose. Rev. Interment at Young Cemetery in Edgard.
