Gueret

Charles Gueret passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2008, at 10:15 a.m. at Kentwood Nursing Manor in Kentwood, La. He was a resident of Lutcher. Age 76. He was a Catholic.

Visitation and services were held on Wednesday, September 10, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina. Interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Paulina.

Beloved husband of Winnie Brignac Gueret. Preceded in death by his son, Daniel Gueret, grandson, Glenn Gueret Jr., parents Abraham and Jeanne LeBranche Gueret, sisters Anna Mae Oubre, Bertha Aubert, Odelia Gagliano, Lucres Roussel and Hazel Gueret and brothers Henry and Lawrence Gueret. He is the Father of Abraham Gueret Jr. and sister, Delores Duhe, Suzanne Madere and husband Mark, Gene Gueret and wife Kathy, Kenny Gueret and wife Delene, and Glenn Gueret Sr. He is survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Hotard

Gertrude M. Hotard died Saturday, August 30, 2008, at 3:20 a.m. at Ochsner Medical Center. She was a native of Vacherie and has lived in Norco since 1924. Retired from Shell Oil as an Insurance Secretary.

Visitation and services were held on Wednesday, September 10, at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Interment in St. Charles Cemetery.

Survivors include brothers George Hotard Jr. and his wife, Earline and Felix Hotard, sister Betty Halfkespring and her husband, Bob.

Preceded in death by her parents, George Hotard Sr. and Robertine Hotard, brothers Robert, Daniel and Edmond Hotard, sisters Denise Nevils and Lucy Nevils.

She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norco, Member of the Altar Society, Home Makers Club, Volunteer at the Day Care, Reader and Eucharist Minister at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Luminais

Floyd R. Luminais on Sunday, August 31, 2008, at 12:32 a.m. Father of Tracy Luminais and wife Dedra, Trina White and husband Thomas and Trudy Trepagnier and husband Terry. Grandfather of Mandy and Megan Luminais, Dakota and Sydney White and Ben and Abby Trepagnier. Son of the late Raoul Sr. (Happy) and Andrea Luminais. Brother of Helen Williams, Joan St. Pierre and the late Earl, Raoul Jr., Francis and Allen Luminais and Elda Mae Savoie. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. Age 79. A native and resident of Reserve.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services. Visitation at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve on Saturday, September 13, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Followed by Religious Services at St. Peter Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve. Arrangements by Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, La.

Oubre

Frances F. Oubre on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at 4:38 p.m. Beloved wife of O. J. Oubre. Mother of Christine Oubre. Age 57. A native of St. James and a resident of LaPlace for the past 40 years.

Visitation and services were held at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace on Thursday, September 11. Burial in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

St. Pierre

Elise G. St. Pierre, died on Sunday, September 7, 2008, at 11:30 p.m. at Ochsner Hospital in Jefferson, La. Age 92.

Visitation and services were held on Wednesday, September 10, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy. Interment in St. Joseph Mausoleum in Paulina.

She was the wife of Elzey J. St. Pierre; the mother of Dr. Jerry J. St. Pierre and mother-in-law of Denise G. St. Pierre of New Orleans. The Grandmother of Jerry J. St. Pierre, Jr. and wife, Sandi D. St. Pierre of Arlington, Texas; Nicolle S. Hoy and Husband Timothy B. Hoy of Hoover, Ala.; Monique S. McConnell and husband, Kevin G. McConnell of Fort Worth, Texas; Stephen P. St. Pierre and wife, Whitney H. St. Pierre of Chicago, Ill. Sister of Mrs. Doris G. Vicknair of Gramercy. Brother-in-laws; Allen J. St. Pierre and Wallace J. Pierre. Great Grandmother of Colin T. Hoy, Charles T. Hoy, Marie D. St. Pierre, Alexandra D. St. Pierre, Thomas J. St. Pierre, William G. McConnell and Chloe C. McConnell.

A member of the St. Joseph Altar Society and Catholic Daughters. Preceded in death by sisters, Beulah Hanle and Bertha Vicknair; brothers, Numa Guidry and Eugene Guidry.
