First United Methodist Church of LaPlace has announced that a Revival will be taking place on both Sunday, August 17, and Monday, August 18.

The services will take place at on the 17th at 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and on the 18th at 7:00 p.m.

There will be a pot-luck dinner at 6:00  p.m. on Sunday, August 17, prior to the worship service that evening.

Dr. Doug Ezell of Lake Charles, La., will be the guest preacher. Ezell is a retired United Methodist preacher who has served in Louisiana for the past 25 years. He was also the district superintendent in the Lake Charles District.  Among his appointments he also was the C.E.O. of the Methodist Home for Children in New Orleans.  

The theme for the revival will be Cross Power: C.P.R. for a Dying World.  The church is located at 301 Bamboo Road off of Highway 51.  For more information, call (985) 652-6560.
