Doug Diez, owner of Pelican Point Golf Club, was honored in January by the Professional Golfer’s Association (PGA) of America for his extraordinary support and dedication of PGA Professionals conducting player development programs vital to the future of golf.
Pelican Point Golf Club is a registered facility of The PGA’s Play Golf America, an industry-wide initiative designed to promote amateur player development and encourage participation in the game. The program has had a profoundly positive impact on the growth of the game and business of golf since its launch in 2004. Over the past year, Pelican Point’s PGA Professional, Phillip Wright, relied on the support and direction from Diez in order to maximize the benefits resulting from Play Golf America. Diez is dedicated to training and supporting his PGA Professional staff as they take on new and additional responsibilities in their career, as well as growing interest in the game by making golf accessible to everyone.
Diez was presented with his award by Phillip Wright, PGA Professional and Pelican Point Golf Club GM/Director of Golf.
