St. Charles Borromeo students work hard to plan the event
The St. Charles Borromeo Middle School planned the 20th Annual Krewe of Ormond Mardi Gras Ball at the Ormond Nursing and Care Center in Destrehan recently. St. Charles Borromeo students began their planning by visiting the nursing home and interviewing the residents. The students attended the Mardi Gras Parade pushing the residents up and down the halls in their wheelchairs helping them to throw beads to the bed-bound residents. On the morning of the Ball, the students helped the Pink Ladies of the R.S.V.P. Group wash, curl and style the residents’ hair while others turned the dining room into a beautiful ballroom.
