DESTREHAN- Destrehan American Legion Post 366 is holding a Ochsner sponsored blood drive Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Legion Hall at 12188 River Road, St. Rose.

All donors should bring a picture ID. Donors will receive perks including a blood bank t-shirt, a mini-physical, a cholesterol test and sandwiches.

Individuals taking Coumadin or medication for high blood pressure or high cholesterol CAN DONATE. The drive is being held in memory of Sylvester “Slim” “Hoss” Loiacano.

Slim was Post 366 Blood Drive Chairperson for many years.
